I never, ever understood why I should have any communication with my ex, even formal ones.
Personally, I have my exes blocked on all social media, because I believe that when something ends, it's best to leave it in the past, so that I can move on with my life without having my ex in my daily life.
Having your ex in your life definitely makes you create scenarios for a reunion in the back of your mind, while your ex has made it clear that he just wants you to have friendly contact, so this inside of you kills all your scenarios.
This, my dears, is called the “No Contact” rule – and honestly, it helped me move on from all my past relationships by blocking all my exes.
Know that there is no set time when you should stop all communication with your ex. You will do so as soon as you feel ready & when you believe in yourself that it is time to move on.
So what should you do if you want to move forward in your life:
- Turn off your ex's phone.
- Delete him from social media.
- Don't keep the photos you have with him.
Seeing your ex's name on your phone screen, even if you want friendly contact with him, does you more harm than good!
